The FPN Announces the 2021 Puerto Rico International Water Polo Open in August

In yet another sign that competitive water polo is opening up as the threat from COVID-19 recedes, this week the FPN (Federación Puertorriqueña de Natación) announced two weeks of competitive play this summer in Puerto Rico.

In an open call to teams of all ages in the U.S. and beyond, the tropical Caribbean island’s national governing body for swimming and polo said it will host an International Water Polo Open that will run from August 5 through the 18. The first week (August 5 - 8), will feature a Beach Water Polo Tournament on the San Juan coast. August 12 – 15 will see a tournament at San Juan’s Natatorium Sport Complex Pool, one of the island’s finest aquatics facilities.
